How To Publishing Party

We have published our second piece of writing. First grade spent a lot of time working on a How To piece of writing. First grade put in a lot of work which started with brainstorming ideas on what they know how to do, learning sequencing words, drafting many how to pieces, choosing one, editing, revising, and finally publishing. I am lucky to have a class of children that are so motivated, and focused on producing their very best work. The kids worked so hard, and came up fantastic ideas that were totally outside the box. They wrote about things like "how to put on nail polish, how to exercise, how to watch t.v. how to swim."
