Our First Graders did a fantastic job performing at the Hanukkah Recital. They were so happy, and focused. They all practiced so hard, and waited so patiently to go on stage. We are all so very proud of them. 

OUR FIRST PUBLISHED PIECE

In First grade we spent a lot of time working on our List and Label Books. First we made a list of all the things we know about, and then we spent many days drafting. We wrote words, and sentences, and drew pictures. Then we went back and made edits, and had to re-write. Finally we drew pictures and got ready for our first publishing party. During our publishing party each child had a chance to what they wrote in the special Authors Chair and enjoy Publishing Party Cake.
